BOB SEGER & THE SILVER BULLET BAND
ROLL ME AWAY TOUR
Bob Seger has always stayed true to his legendary sound, effortlessly marrying blues, country, and heartland soul into his trademark brand of Motor City rock ‘n’ roll. Seger is a GRAMMY® Award-winning multi-talented artist, songwriter, producer, and bandleader whose indelible body of work has affirmed his place in the fabric of American song. Inducted to both the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame, Seger has sold more than 53 million albums and has earned 13 platinum and 7 multi-platinum RIAA Certified sales awards, including such landmark albums as Beautiful Loser, Live Bullet, Night Moves, Stranger in Town, Against the Wind and Nine Tonight.
“While burners like “Old Time Rock & Roll,” the potent one-two punch of “Travelin’ Man/Beautiful Loser” and a marvelous “Ramblin’ Gamblin’ Man” ratcheted up the energy in the Bridgestone Arena, it was the ballads that best highlighted Seger’s status as an American troubadour.”
– Joseph Hudak, Rolling Stone
“This was a perfect evening under the stars, with zero disappointments as Seger, 74, exerted the effort of a 20-something superstar. From the beginning, “Shakedown” and “Still the Same” set the stage, followed by a magical performance of “Mainstreet,” the song Seger wrote when he was 16 years old, looking through club windows because he was too young to get in. The smart phones were out, video mode activated — these were moments to remember.”
– Melissa Oyler, Charlotte Observer
